“Tonight, at approximately 10 p.m. Gaza time, a bus carrying more than two-dozen members of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation team, local Palestinians working side-by-side with the U.S. GHF team to deliver critical aid, were brutally attacked by Hamas.

At the time of the attack, our team was en route to one of our distribution centers in the area west of Khan Younis.

We are still gathering facts, but what we know is devastating: there are at least five fatalities, multiple injuries, and fear that some of our team members may have been taken hostage.

Southern Baptists voted overwhelmingly on Tuesday to call for the overturning of the Supreme Court ruling that legalized same-sex marriage, with strategists citing the successful effort that overturned the right to legal abortions as a possible blueprint for the new fight.

The denomination has long opposed gay marriage, but Tuesday was the first time its members have voted to work to legally end it. Expanding on conservatives’ success in overturning Roe v. Wade in 2022, the vote signals growing evangelical ambitions to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges, the Supreme Court ruling that was handed down 10 years ago this month.

The Southern Baptist Convention is the nation’s largest Protestant denomination, and is often seen as a bellwether for conservative evangelicalism writ large. Like many Christian denominations, it is broadly in decline, with about 12.7 million members in 2024, a 2 percent decline from the year before. But church attendance and baptisms were up, suggesting an ongoing vitality in the pews.

Passing the resolution against same-sex marriage could suggest to policymakers that conservative Christians have the will to sustain long-term opposition to positions without much popular support, including from some conservative politicians.

▪️ Iranian military and government officials have discussed how to respond to an Israeli attack, The New York Times reported, citing a source.

▪️ According to the publication, Iran has developed a response plan that involves an immediate counterattack on the territory of the Jewish state using hundreds of ballistic missiles.

▪️ Earlier, CBS reported that US officials had received information that Israel was ready to launch a military operation against Iran. US officials were informed that Israel was fully prepared to launch an operation against the Islamic Republic. The US also expects Iran to retaliate against certain US targets in neighboring Iraq.

▪️ On Wednesday, the Islamic Republic's Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh said that in the event of a war with the United States, it would attack all American military bases in the Middle East.

▪️ Commenting on the situation, Donald Trump explained that Americans are advised to leave the region "because it can be a dangerous place." Mr. Trump also reiterated that the United States will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons.

Russia Relocates Strategic Bombers to Far East

Russia has reportedly redeployed its Tu-160 and Tu-22M3 bombers to the Far East following Operation Pautina (Spider Web).

OSINT analyst AviVector reports Tu-160s were moved to Yelizovo (Kamchatka), Anadyr (Chukotka), and Borisoglebsk (near Kazan) from the Belaya Air Base.

Before the operation, 52 strategic bombers were based at Belaya.

Last week, 11 Tu-22M3s were transferred from Olenya to the Ukrainka airbase in Amur Oblast.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: NYC - Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, at least eight NYPD vehicles went up in flames in a suspected arson at a police parking lot near DeKalb and Central Avenues, close to the 83rd Precinct.

Some vehicles were also vandalized, and officers reported a strong smell of gasoline. The fire is under investigation, with surveillance footage being reviewed. Nearby cruisers were relocated as a precaution.
